Red Hot Chili Peppers' Upcoming Album Gets a Title

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have proudly announced the title of their upcoming album, which was influenced by something one of the Anthony Kiedis' friends said while on an acid trip, according to NME.

Dr. Johnny Skinz's Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head is currently set to be the album title, and although that will be the album's moniker for now, the band is open to changing it. What a great title though.

Kiedis' friend explained to him that during his acid trip, "He had been playing a sold-out show to the planets and moons, and his number one hit was, well, that title." Give me some of what that guy had!

The album has not yet been given a release date, but the band has promised that it will be released this year, and the hope to have it ready for the "beginning of summer 2011." RHCP will also be performing at a handful of music festivals this summer in support of their new material.
